Light emitted by all models is focussed and direct, a true lighting tool, just as the name says. Die Leuchte Tool, deren Formen und Materialien sich an Technologien in ihrem Rohzustand orientieren, transportiert mit ihrem Erscheinungsbild die raue Vintage-Atmosphäre, die in Werkstätten und Fabriken herrscht. Die Leuchte besteht aus einem einzigen Leuchtkörper aus Gummi, dessen Form an ein Werkzeug aus einer Gießerei oder an ein mechanisches, auf der Drehbank hergestelltes Element erinnert. Man hat den Eindruck, dass es sich um ein Objekt handelt, das soeben vom Fließband gekommen ist und das nun in ein privates Ambiente eingeführt wird, um hier mit allen Klischees von Design und Ästhetik zu brechen. Tool ist als Hängeleuchte in zwei Ausführungen – einer großen und einer kleinen Variante – erhältlich. Die kleinere Variante gibt es auch als Lese- und Tischleuchte. Der Sockel besteht aus Rohzement, während der Lampenschirm von einem schwarz lackierten Metallständer getragen wird. Der Lichtstrahl aller Modelle ist gebündelt und direkt – so wie es sich für ein starkes Beleuchtungsobjekt gehört. L’éclairage de tous les modèles est concentré et direct, un véritable outil d’éclairage, comme l’indique le nom même de la lampe. Esta lámpara está realizada en efecto con un cuerpo único de goma, que recuerda en la forma un molde de fundición o un elemento mecánico realizado con el torno. La impresión es la de un objeto que acaba de salir de la cadena de producción para ser introducido en un ambiente doméstico que rompe los tópicos en el diseño y en la estética.
